Simon Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Smith (Cowden, Illinois), who passed away on February 13, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Fowler); his wife Emma "Eileen" Smith; his great grandchild Payton Ruby Beck; and his siblings, Virginia Young, Wilma Adair, Lois Compton and Harold Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Smith (Diane) of Winslow, IN, Phil Smith (Norma) of Cowden and Gary Smith (Rita) of Cowden; his brothers, Lloyd Smith (Sandy) of Assumption, Leon Smith of Seattle, WA and Leonard Smith of Lithia, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Smith of Shelbyville and Mary Anna Thompson of Sparta, TN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
Memorials may be made in Jay's name to the Cowden United Methodist Church.
