It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Seely (Cowden, Illinois), who passed away on December 20, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Peifer and Bunea Peifer (Lape); her grandson Douglas Mahaffey; her siblings, Charles Peifer, Joe Thompson and Shirley Ann Hadley; and her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Peifer, Karen Rose Thompson, Dale Prater and Bob Bartels.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Pruemer (Gene) of Teutopolis, Pamela Mahaffey (Dale) of Cowden, Jack Seely Jr of Cowden, Lanny Seely of Tower Hill and Shelly Day (Tim) of Beecher City; and her siblings, Bill Peifer of Overland Park, KS, Don Thompson (Linda Sue) of Cowden, Gene Thompson of Herrick, Jim Thompson of Beecher City, Harvey Thompson (Ruth Ann) of Forsyth, John Thompson (Janet) of Cowden, Dean Thompson (Jan) of Herrick, Ed Thompson (Becki) of Cowden, Helen Prater of Decatur and Rose Bartels of Illiopolis. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
