He was predeceased by: his parents, Annamae Murphy and John Michael Murphy (Red); and his godfather Robert Burns. He is survived by: his daughter Clare Lynn Murphy; his siblings, John (Jan), Therese Kielp (Jason), Dan (Jan), Tom (Laura), Marianne Sloier (Bruce), Brian (Katie) and Matt Murphy; and his godmother Patricia (Aunt Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
