He is survived by: his wife Caroline Gifford; and his children, Anne, Blair, Mike, Mark, Kelsey and Taylor.
In the last few years, Dr. Gifford made major donations to the Polio Eradication Fund, Rotary International, and the Cure Alzheimer's Fund on behalf of his wife, Caroline Gifford.
