Dorothy Lund Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Lund (Countryside, Illinois), leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Lund to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Dorothy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dorothy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Ronald E. Lund; her children, Ruth Wicke (late Burton), Jeffrey (Shirley) and Douglas (Elena); her grandchildren, Brenton Lund, Rachel Wicke, Casianne Wilder (Robin) and Sebastian Lund (Madison); her great grandchild Mila May Lund; her sister Helen Garries (late Jack); and also Laurie Langhoff (Steven).

Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home (1025 W 55th St, Countryside, IL 60525). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
