He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Chandler and Osceola Salverson; his children, Osceola "Peaches" Mayes, George "Breet" Jackson and Maggie Chestand; his siblings, Cornealious Chandler, Emmett Chandler, Fannie Holbrook, Francis Mosley, Betty Jane Morris, John Henry Chandler and Mike Chandler; and his nephew James Amos Chandler.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Chandler; his children, Marvin Hughes (Angie), Mavis Pitts (Charles), Gina Chandler, Jeff Chandler, Gloria Chandler, Derek Chandler, Rita Willis (Alonzo), Marissa Cunningham (Jerry), Michael Chandler (Valerie) and Monica Chandler; his sister Bobbie Ruth Guy; and his grandson Johnathan Chandler. He is also survived by his children, adored his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and cherished his wife.
