He was predeceased by: his parent Arretta Oliver; and his brothers, James L. Helms and Donald E. Helms. He is survived by: his fiancée Tammy Martin of Coulterville, IL; his children, Walter "Mikey" Oliver Jr., Terry Burns of Sparta, IL, Cherylyn Haslatt of New Athens, IL and Cheylene Oliver of Marissa, IL; and his sister Beverly Porter of Sparta, IL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
