We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Maurine Adele (Howie) Van Sant-Smith in Coulterville, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Emerson and Edith Howie; her siblings, Harlen, Ferrell, Terry Howie and Wilma Howie-Mahan (Keith); and her son Roger Dean Van Sant.

She is survived by: her sister Naomi Howie Owens (Norman) of Marissa, IL; her daughters, Charlene Van Sant of Coulterville, IL and Vivian Van Sant of Sparta, IL; and her grandchildren, Donald, Charles and Charina. She is also survived by six other grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis, MO, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
