She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Rice and Emma Rice (Crowder); her son Herman Hornbostel; and her siblings, Betty McDaniel, Alice Bergman, Evelyn Greer, Buck Nash, Red Rice, Steven Rice and William Floyd Rice.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Rice (Jeanette) of Percy, IL, Shawn Hornbostel of Campbell Hill, IL, Lucinda Mulholland (Rex Kelly) of Coulterville, IL, Paula Schatte-Gall (Frank) of Willisville, IL and Chris Hornbostel of Coulterville, IL; and her brother-in-law William McDaniel of Tamaroa, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
