With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Hood of Coulterville, Illinois, born in Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 31, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Charles and Delores T. Patterson (Schive); her husband Samuel C. Hood, Sr.; her daughter Jennifer Mitchell; and her siblings, Charles Patterson, Gerald Patterson and Joan Marie Seeley.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Roberts (Allen) of Coulterville, IL, Michelle Miller of Pinckneyville, IL and Samuel Hood, Jr. (John) of Marion, IL; her son-in-law Howie Mitchell; her sisters, Catherine Hood Howell of Columbia, NC and Rosemary Miller of Folcroft, PA; her grandchildren, Keith Shadrick, Jr., Jessica Shadrick, Elizabeth Miller, April Shelton (Jeff), Savannah King (Josh), Nathan Smith, Taylor Johnson (Craig), Abigail Mitchell, Madison Hood and Emma Hood; and her great grandchildren, Bella Mae, Mila Rose, Ellie, Haven and Charley.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
