He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Pierson and Hazel Pierson (Switzer); his wife Irma Louise Musgrove; and his sons, Gregory Lee and Keith Eugene Pierson.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Coffman (Kathy) of Wood River, Mark Coffman (Desiree) of Bethalto and Kevin Pierson of Cottage Hills; his grandchildren, Bill, Zac, Daniel Coffman, Josh Smith, Alyssa Milan, Kaitlyn Pierson and Colby Coffman; his great grandchildren, Quinn Coffman, Jayden Williams, Levi and Mason Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Dean Abner, Diane Cole (Jim) and Phyllis Riley.
Memorials may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.
