He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur H. Ruemmler and Maxine A. Ruemmler-Melton (Taul); and his stepfather Joe Melton. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette E. Cook; his children, Stephanie Harkey (Dylan) of Cottage Hills, Austin Ruemmler (Courtney Oberheim) of East Alton, Joey Ruemmler (Tori Agney) of Bethalto, Kaitlynn Ruemmler (Justice Hall) of Edwardsville and Brianna Ruemmler of Cottage Hills; his siblings, Violet Dorman (Steven) of Wood River, Jeanette Contreras of Cottage Hills and Bud Ruemmler (Thu) of Massachusetts; and his grandchildren, Grayson, Maebri, Herminey and Casen.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1422 Washington Ave, Alton, IL 62002).
