The passing of Helen Maxine Cook of Cottage Hills, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Gilliland and Effie Gilliland (Barks); and her brothers, Elmer Gilliland, Jr. and Eugene Gilliland. She is survived by: her children, Larry Cook (Norma) of St, Louis and Vickie Cook Conklin of Titusville, FL; and her grandchildren, Kris, Lindsey, Lisa and Leslie. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
