He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur W. Phelps and Gertrude Phelps (Scott); his former wife Mary; and his brother-in-law James Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his sons, Dave Phelps of East Alton, Greg Phelps of Moro and Tim Phelps (Nicki) of Alton; his sister Arlene Thomas of Florence, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Brittany, Brendan, Connor, Corbin, Addison and Colin; and his great grandchild Eli.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
