He is survived by: his wife Sandra Palinkas ViPond Schmidt; his children, Shaun ViPond (Beth), Chad "Chief" ViPond (Little Bud), Barbara Schmidt Erdmier (Bomber) and Michael Schmidt (Peabody); his grandchildren, Hannah Ritter (Brian), Samantha Schultz (Aaron), Cody ViPond, Alexandra Erdmier, Noah ViPond, Tori Schmidt and Macy Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Lilith Ritter and Barret Ritter; his sister Bonnie Schmidt Meier (Charlie); his sisters-in-law, Rita Aldrich (Michael) and Rhonda Cohen (Michael); and his close friend ConTel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
