He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lanning and Arlone Lanning (Ulven); his siblings, Elnore Barnes, Barb Jones, Doris Thomas, Jim (Lanning), Irving (Lanning) and Ronnie (Lanning); his nieces, Patty (Nelson) and Shawne (Barnes); and his great grandchildren, Gaige (Wickham) and Sebastian (Short).
He is survived by: his wife Susan I Lanning (Burnam); his children, Debra Scholze (Nathan), Carla Lanning, Tom Byrem (Heather) and Travys-Jack Lanning (Samantha); and his sisters, Char Griffith (Larry) and Laana Hansen (Roger). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends.
A celebration of Life with Military Honors will be announced at a later date, due to Covid compliances.
