Fitzsimmons of Cornell, Illinois, born in Pontiac, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl E. Fitzsimmons and Myrtle Fitzsimmons (Durham); his sisters, Shirley Spellmeyer of Pontiac, IL, Annamae Fitzsimmons of Pontiac, IL and Katie Kaisner (Dutch) of Seattle, Washington.; his son Carl E. Fitzsimmons; and his stepgranddaughter Holly Skeens.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Haag; his children, Tina Fitzsimmons (Doug Bell) of Chenoa and Brian Fitzsimmons (Jodi Romero) of Pontiac, IL.; his stepchildren, Kathleen Ramirez (Rudie) of Ft. Worth, TX, Karen Skeens of Chicago, IL and Lee Skeens (Tina) of Cornell, IL.; his stepgrandchildren, Culie Hawthorne (Ronni), Lee James Skeens (Kayla), Chrissy, Jordan Hawthorne (Kristen), Zach Skeens (Kayla) and Karly McElyea (Scott); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Drake, Miles, Cade, Ty, Mia, Sevan, Harmony, Liam, Jesse, Victoria, Addie and Walker; and his brother Bill Fitzsimmons of Pontiac, IL..
