It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William C. Genung of Cordova, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Genung and Shirley Genung (Kliner). He is survived by: his wife Penny Franklin; his children, Sean Genung (Charlene) and Jenny Droll (Chris) of North Liberty, IA; his grandchildren, William H. Genung, Katlynn Droll, Rylee McKinley and Blake Leydens; and his brother Fred Genung (Ann). He is also survived by several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or the Cordova Firefighters Association.
