He was predeceased by: his parents, August Nimmick and Irene Nimmick (Kapaun); his spouse Taft M. "Dee" Smith; and his siblings, Harold Nimmick of Dubuque, Iowa., Elaine Dusenberry and Donna Portzelt.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Suiter (Jeff) of Princeton, Bava Prunty (Russ) of Atkinson, Illinois, Butch Nimmick (Cindy) of Clinton, Iowa and Doug Nimmick (Janis) of Clinton, Iowa; and his sister Lola Fletcher of Clinton.
