He is survived by: his children, Amy Ehrler (Joshua) of Oregon, IL, Michael Betz (Erica Whitehead) of Compton and Adam Betz (Emily Erickson) of Compton; his close friend Mary Haenitsch of Jerseyville; his brother-in-law Edward McCormick of Las Vegas; and his grandchildren, Kendra Ehrler, Caleb Ehrler, Evie Betz, Kartear Betz, Ella Betz, Bryson Betz, Brianna Betz and Brad Betz.
