He is survived by: his father LaVerne Sr. Thompson (June); his wife Gail Wiley Thompson; his children, Emily Morgan (Jesse), Tim Thompson (Megan) and Katie Thompson (Patrick); his stepchildren, Chris Beyers (Kristin) and Jen Beyers; his grandchildren, Timmy Thompson, Lola Thompson and Eugene Morgan; his stepgrandchildren, Augustus Gererd Beyers, Llewyn James Burke and Charolette Beyers; and his siblings, Paul Thompson (Trena), Ann Wiborg (Corey), David, Bill and John Bart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vern's name may be made to the Paw Paw and Sandwich Fire Departments Cadet Programs.
