Elroy Swope Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elroy Swope of Compton, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Swope and Elizabeth Swope (Kehm); his son Curtis; and his sister Lavila Archer. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Kidd of Compton; his daughters, Margo Ackland of Mount Morris and Wendy Wenzel (John) of Knoxville; and his siblings, Donald "Doc" Swope of Compton, Marvin "Butch" Swope of Michigan, Jerald Swope of West Brooklyn and Marilyn "Toots" Ehlers of Princeton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to a children's charity of the donor's choice.
