Walter A. Rau Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter A. Rau of Columbia, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Rau and Lydia Rau; and his brother Elmer Rau. He is survived by: his wife Coletta Rau; his children, Robert Rau (Genie), Dale Rau (Hau) and Donald Rau; his grandchildren, Nickolas, Sarah, Jasmine and Joshua Rau; and his stepgranddaughter Stephanie Bernal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Quernheim Funeral Home (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ss Peter and Paul Church (204 W Mill St, Waterloo, IL 62298).
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: SS Peter & Paul Church - Waterloo.
