He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Frey and Mary Jane Frey. He is survived by: his wife Jania K. Frey; his son Michael Kohlenberger (Melissa); his grandchildren, Michael R. Kohlenberger and Maura E. Kohlenberger; his siblings, Jeannine Frey, Philip Frey, David Frey and Russ Frey (Ginny); and his nephew Zach Frey.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: American Heart Association.
