Smugala of Columbia, Illinois, born in Nashville, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Smugala; her parents-in-law, Vincent and Clara; her siblings, Raymond Gill and Alice Ward; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Ward, Eugene Smugala, Vincent Smugala, Charlies Jurkowski, Marcella Gill, Loretta Gill and Linda Smugala.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Smugala (John Vitale) of Chesterfield, MO, Thomas Smugala (Shari) of Columbia, IL and Julie Ingold (Peter) of Columbia, IL; her brothers, Robert Gill (Teresa) of Ashley, IL and William Gill of Pinckneyville, IL; her sisters-in-law, Frances Smugala and Marcella Jurkowski; and her grandchildren, Aynsley, Samantha, Nicole, Dallas, Anna, Jordan, Adam, Katie, Andrew and Amy. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Activity and Education Center Fund or in the form of masses.
