He was predeceased by: his mother Bettyraye Hendershot. He is survived by: his father Lewis C. Hendershot; his wife Susan Hendershot; his daughter Gwen Hendershot (Darin Goble); his stepchildren, Amy Maak (Steve), George Kumpis (Kari) and Aristotle Kumpis (Laura Purcell); his grandchildren, Vaden Goble, Logan Maak, Morgan Maak and Matteo Kumpis; and his siblings, Thomas Hendershot (Carol), Ellen Demuth, Holly Jensen (Richard) and Nancy Forrest. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Community Lutheran Church (1 Christchurch Way, Columbia, IL 62236). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
