He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mora and Mary Elizabeth "Leaper" Laxton; and his brother Terry Laxton. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Laxton; his sons, Mark Laxton (Shannon) of Columbia, IL and Brett Laxton (Amy) of Katy, TX.; and his grandchildren, Makenna Norris (Quin), Sawyer Laxton, Malaine Laxton, Syler Laxton, Mavery Laxton, Sage Laxton, Mercie Laxton, Tyler Laxton and Graham Laxton.
