He was predeceased by: his stepson Terry Morrissey. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Morrissey Plummer; his children, James N. Plummer (Patty), Tracey Hampson (Todd) and Eric Plummer (Amy); his stepson Shaun Morrissey (Brittany); his sister Janet Kaenrath (Jerry); his grandchildren, Emily, James "JD" Plummer, Andrew, Abby Plummer, Daniel, Natalie, Luke Hampson, Otto Morrissey, Ella and Atlas Brown; his nephew Michael Kaenrath; and his niece Jenny Morales.
