He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Carter of Colona; his son Eric Carter of Michigan; his sister Christine Creekmore of Moline; his son-in-law Michael Besette Sr.; his grandchildren, Sabrinna Popp, Nathaniel Popp (Miruki), Zachary Popp, Caroline Markusic (Connor), Elizabeth Besette, Michael Besette Jr. and Edward Besette; and his great grandchildren, Stanley Popp, Phoebe Popp and Maddison Markusic.
