It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Munoz of Colona, Illinois, born in Eagle Pass, Texas, who passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sylvia departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Sylvia. Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Muňoz; her children, Anastacia Del Rio, Daniel Muňoz, Jr., David Muňoz (Ellen) and Andrew Muňoz (Carolee); and her brother Carlos Cardenas (Georgina). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
