He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. DeLeon and Ruth Katherine DeLeon (Warrington); his sisters, Marlene and Yvonne; and his nephews, Phillip M. Buzzuro and Scott R. Wells.

He is survived by: his pet Baxter; his wife Patricia; his children, Darren DeLeon (Julie) and Andrea DeLeon-Cortright (Chris) of Baltimore, MD; his stepsons, Jody Newkirk (Valerie), Mike Newkirk (Jaime) and Craig Newkirk (Anastasiya); his grandchildren, Erica, Alex, Connor, Carson, Maddie, Gannon, Lauryn, Amber, Wyatt, Leo and Autumn; his great grandchildren, Shelby and Chandler; and his sister Joanne Schiffnauer (Fred) of Hellam, PA.

In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that memorials be made to the Henry County Humane Society – Geneseo, The Salvation Army, or the charity of the donor's choice.

“To Pat, Darren, and Andrea- I am so sad to hear of Uncle Bobby’s passing. He was too young to die. Even if Uncle Bobby was 89 years old- he would still be too young to die. He was nice, warm, funny,and smart. He had that look- like he was always smiling. The last time Mike and I saw him, I remember getting the biggest kick out of his humor. He was dry, and sooo funny! . His parents,my mom, Aunt Marlene and so many more couldn’t wait for him to join them in heaven. God Bless u. Dee&Mike McClung”
