He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Reddig and Irene Reddig (Schmook); his former wife Carol (Thompson); his brother Robert Reddig; his son-in-law Mark Sides; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Reddig, Roger Staley and Dennis Staley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Reddig (Staley); his children, Michelle Sides and Raymond Reddig (Beth); his grandchildren, Kristi Harden, Jennifer Vermast (Al), Jesse Downey (Jessie), Jena Avea (Marlon), Zachary Prescott, Jeremy Prescott, Mark Sides Jr. (Kristina), Michael Sides, Amy Sides-Demers, Ricki Sides and Ashton Reddig; and his great grandchildren, Levi Harden, Hunter Harden, Kameron Harden, Gavin Harden, Lawrence Vermast, Allan Vermast, Mackenzie Vermast, Tiago Avea, Hayleigh Prescott, Miyah Prescott, Daxton Prescott, Jordan Prescott, Jacobie Prescott, Joey Sides, Isabella Sides, Jakob Sides, Levi Sides, Delilah Sides, Faith Olson, Kyden Demers, Zander Demers and Evalee Demers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schroder Mortuary- Colona (213 1st St, Colona, IL 61241). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at the Dayton Corners Cemetery (Dayton Corner A Rd, Colona, IL 61241).
Memorials may be made to the Colona Legion Post 1233 Honor Guard.
