He is survived by: his children, Rondi Tschopp (Jon), Rori Vandemore (Steve), Ryan Ransdell (Chris) and Robbyn Ransdell (Jennie); his grandchildren, Tori Signorelli (Eugenio), Tylan Tschopp (Nicole), Evan Vandemore (Kaitlyn), Erron Vandemore (Lydia), Nick Ransdell (Christy), Russell Ransdell, Dustin Ransdell (Tara) and Colten Ransdell (Katie); his great grandchildren, Kaila, Carson, Claire, Noemi, Chloe, Elizabeth and Olivia; his brother Bill Ransdell (Judy); and his brother-in-law Dennis Helstrom (Donna).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf or to Cancer Research.
