She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband William D. Brokaw; her daughters, Deborah J. Tatro (Leon) and Vickie Lynn B. Nelson (Wade); her grandchildren, Ricky, Brad, Derek Nelson, Shannon Tatro-Forbis and Michael Tatro; her great grandchildren, Tristan, Wilhelm, Wyatt, Donald IV, Dylan, Devin and Danika Forbis; and her parents, Clinton Cole and Lucy Cole.
