He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roland Porter and Catherine Porter; his wife Carol Cummins of Collinsville; his children, Mary Shipley of Collinsville and William Porter of Collinsville; his grandsons, Eric Shipley Jr. (Kira) of Washington and Lucas Shipley of Collinsville; and his siblings, R. Terry Porter (Janet) of Collinsville, Timothy Porter (Melba) of Collinsville and Trudy Porter of Collinsville. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William's name may be made directly to the Porter family.
