He was predeceased by: his parents, Werner Sr. Schopfer and Lina Schopfer; and his son Manuel Lizarde III. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Schopfer; his son Werner E. Schopfer III (Jaime); his grandchildren, Jerralyn Schopfer (John Bailey) and Jacquelyn Pettit (Andrew); and his siblings, Walter Schopfer (Judy) and Herzie Aslankhani.
Memorials may be made in Werner's honor to The COPD Foundation and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
