She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Buster" Ellis and Helen Ellis (Gryzb); and her siblings, Ruth, Rose and Frank.

She is survived by: her children, Frank Strother (Sherri) of Highland, David Strother (Lim) of Smyrna, Debi Habermehl (Ron) of Collinsville, Don Strother (Patsy) of Greenville, Steven Strother (Vivian) of New Braunfels and Sarah Edwards (Mike) of Collinsville, Illinois.; and her brother Edward Johnston of Belleville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
