He was predeceased by: his father Thomas W. O'Laughlin; and his father-in-law Ron Harrison. He is survived by: his mother Mary Edith O'Laughlin (Mateyka) of Glen Carbon; his wife Michelle "Shelly" O'Laughlin (Harrison); his son Logan O'Laughlin of Collinsville; his siblings, Mark O'Laughlin, Shawn O'Laughlin, Terry O'Laughlin, Tim O'Laughlin, Susan (Ken Wilhelm), Jane (Scott Thompson), Kitty McLaughlin, Pat (John O'Neill) and Pegg Julson; and his mother-in-law Nancy Harrison. He is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews; a great niece; other extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family to establish an education fund for his son and may be accepted at the funeral home.
