With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonja Jane Gowin Yagow of Collinsville, Illinois, born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred E. Yagow; her parents, Clyde Leroy (Juanita Faye) and Gowin; her foster parents, Paul "Pete" Jasper and Frances Marion Barnett; and her siblings, Archie Lincoln Gowin, Clyde Leroy Coleman, Ethel Elaine Black and Lela Marie Greason.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Wells (Thomas) of Titusville, FL and Lisa Yagow of Roselle, IL; and her grandsons, Nathaniel Wells, Alexander Wells and Benjamin Wells. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
