It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufino J. Arbas Jr. of Collinsville, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rufino Sr. Arbas and Clementina C. Arbas; his wife Sherry Arbas; his children, Gabrielle Pasquel (Joaquin) of Waterloo, IL, Abigail Mantese (Matteo) of Waterloo, IL and Wayne Moore of Belleville, IL; his grandchildren, Haylie and Gavin McDonald; his sister Jacqueline Edrosa (Edgardo); his nieces and nephews, Samantha Edrosa and E. J. Edrosa (Danni); and his parents-in-law, Ronald and Beverly McDonald of Collinsville, IL.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church (207 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans.
