She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Edward Chasteen; her parents, Russell Edwin and Ruby Nell Pfaff; and her sisters, Judith Harris and Allene Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Glen Chasteen of Collinsville, IL, Cynthia Carter Chasteen of Columbia, MO and Caryn McIntosh Chasteen of Carmel, IN; her granddaughter Kylee Strong-Chasteen of Collinsville, IL; her brother Jerre Pfaff of Carbondale, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Tracie Hampton, John Pfaff, David Miller and Susan Miller.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (50 Fountain Dr, Glen Carbon, IL 62034).
Memorials are suggested to Partners for Pets or the CMT YMCA and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home.
