She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Key and Verdie Key (Dilworth); her husband William R. Payne; and her sisters, Virginia, Katherine and Sara.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Baer (Randy), John Payne (Katie), Sharon Slater (Dan) and Jeff Payne; her grandchildren, Lindsay Wotherspoon (Seth), Lauren Lane (Stephen), Allison Sandhu (Suchindra), Ashley Uhl (Aaron), Brittany Payne, Brooke Campbell (Travis) and Bryan Slater; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Sam, Sydney, Caroline, Adi, Weston, Grace, Mason and Brayden.
Nell was a breast cancer survivor, memorial contributions can be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure or First United Methodist Church of Collinsville.
