It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred A. Hood of Collinsville, Illinois, born in Freeburg, Illinois, who passed away on November 14, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Hood (Jack); her parents, Albin Zipfel and Valeria Mudd Zipfel; and her brothers, Cletus Zipfel and Stephen Zipfel.
She is survived by: her sister Janice Zipfel Nicholson (Jerry) of Huntsville, Alabama. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Heart Association and may be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
