She was predeceased by: her parents, H. N. Loyd and May Loyd (Piles); her husband Hubert Cox; her former husband Walter Shaw; her daughter Helen Parnell; her grandchildren, Jeff Parnell and Karen Anne Cox; her great grandchild Brooke Johnson; and her siblings, Louise Hamilton, Paul Loyd, Claude Loyd, Everett Loyd and Daisy Simpson.

She is survived by: her children, Kenny Cox (Janice) of Edwardsville, IL and Susan Johnson (Don) of Irmo, SC; her son-in-law Delbert Parnell of Granite City, IL; and her grandchildren, Glenda Gusewelle of Alton, IL, Kevin Cox (Paula) of Brighton, IL, Michelle Watson (Steve) of Collinsville, IL and Paul Johnson (Erin) of Bourbonnais, IL. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
