It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Marie Smith of Collinsville, Illinois, born in Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Rector and Hazel Rector (Todd); and her husband George D. Smith Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Smith of Collinsville and Sara Tipton (Terry) of Marine, Illinois; her sister Jeanette Pickering of Portage, Indiana; her sister-in-law Sara Clark of Vandalia, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Brian Tipton and Samantha Tipton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
