She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Meinert and Vesta Meinert (Miller); her husband John D. Koester; and her sisters, Bertha Abel and Betty Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Koester (Connie) of Collinsville, Alan Koester (Carolyn) of Edwardsville, Connie Ahlers (Jim) of Edwardsville, Barry Koester (Paula) of Granite City and Vicki Branding (Rick) of Granite City, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Katie Kasper (Andrew), Nicholas Koester (Erica), Richard Ramirez, Adam Koester (Jessica), Mark Koester (Amber), Angela Turner (Robert), Jaimee Loftus (Matt), Jeff Ahlers (Courtney), John Ahlers (Ashley), Christy Koester, Herman Reiser, Casey Yehling (Paul), Kenneth Reiser, Brianna Branding and Allison Branding. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Concordia Lutheran Church (2305 Grand Ave, Granite City, IL 62040).
