He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Shaw and Esther Shaw; his former wife Joan Shaw; and his brothers, Bill, Dale and Alton Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Mary M. Renfro; his children, Gail Shaw of Collinsville, IL, Michelle Ownbey (Cody) of Springfield, IL and Mark Shaw of Irvine, CA; his grandson Dayne Ownbey of Springfield, IL; his stepchildren, John Renfro (Robin) of Los Angeles, CA, Karen Cushing (John) of Glen Carbon, IL, Bruce Renfro (Julie) of Cincinnati, OH and Jean McCammon (Craig) of Chesterfield, MO; his stepgrandchildren, Justin (Julia), Joshua, Christian Renfro, Michael (Kirsi), Kevin Cushing, Jenna, Sarah Renfro, Colin and Katherine McCammon; his sisters, Dorothy Heckathorn of Meadville, PA, Erla McDermott (Charles) of Southington, OH and Rhonda Cubbon (Arthur) of Oil City, PA; and his sister-in-law Pam Shaw of Kennerdell, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
While there, he received counseling training at Menninger Foundation.
