He is survived by: his wife Kate Slovinski of Collinsville, Illinois; his children, Jeremy Smick (Samantha) of Palm Springs, Gabe Smick of Collinsville, Brandon Smick of Chicago, Illinois and Amy Smick of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Elio Smick, Xander Smick-Crouch and Mina Smick-Crouch; his sister Cari Smick of Denver, Colorado; his brother-in-law Roger Donell of Granite City, Illinois; and his mother-in-law Jackie Slovinski of Collinsville, Illinois.
