She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sermon and Emily Sermon (Poteet); her husband David Whittington; her granddaughter Katelyn Emily Hutton; her brothers, Thomas Sermon and Samuel Sermon; and her stepchildren, Jeanne Muse, David Whittington Jr., Mary Cuff and Michael Whittington.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Hubbard (Sheri) of Waterloo, Steve Hubbard of Swansea, Illinois, Linda Hubbard of Denver, Jane Hubbard of Springfield, Maggie Brandt (David) of St. Louis and Kathy Hutton of Berthoud, Colorado; and her siblings, Marcella Durbin of Louisville, Ruby Dodson (Woody) of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert Sermon (Shirley) of West Plains and Billie Sermon (Sandy) of Monticello, Indiana. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
