He was predeceased by: his father Joseph H. (Gertrude); and his brother-in-law David Ebert. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Roy Obernuefemann (Marie) of Swansea, IL and Tina Korte (Robert) of Caseyville, IL; his grandchildren, Ashley Hunter (Jerry), Rachael Wright (Bobby), Christina Doyle (Jeffrey), Rebecca Obernuefemann, Chianna Obernuefemann (Chris Lugge), Amanda Korte and Joey Obernuefemann (Ashlyn); his great grandchildren, Martina, Jacob, Emmah, Eldon, Kelton, Donna, Kyler, Bryleigh, Logan, Leo, Landon, Brody, Christian, Jensen and Joseph; and his sister Joyce Ebert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
